Dr.'s Appointment #8

I had an appointment with Dr. Lindel today.  He was probably my favorite Dr. so far.  He made me feel so comfortable and at ease.  He said everything is looking great.  I talked to him about the hip pain I am having, which I think is from sleeping on my sides at night.  He suggested that I continue to sleep on my back, but wedge a small pillow under one hip when I do.  That way, I’m not lying flat on my back.  He joked that he’s never heard of someone dying from sleeping on their back during pregnancy.

Add ultrasound pics from Baptist Scan
I signed up for a free ultrasound through Baptist Hospital that Courtney and Amanda had both done.  It is a training program for their students so they offer it to pregnant women certain weeks during the year.  Mom came with me today.  It lasted about an hour and 4 different people practiced doing the ultrasound on me.  They took a lot of pictures of her heart and skull.  They also confirmed that she is a girl.  At first I was worried, because the girl asked me not to tell her what my doctor had said and she really hesitated as if she couldn’t tell.  I know they could always be wrong.  How crazy would that be to plan for a girl and then have a boy!  Many of them commented on how active she was, but they also agreed that she was the most beautiful and cooperative baby they had scanned all day J
I think we’ve decided for sure on the name Jane Meadows for our baby girl.  Jane is my mom’s middle name and Meadows is a family name on Seth’s side.  It was Seth’s maternal grandmother’s maiden name.

19 Weeks, It's A...

Exercise for March 2-8
Saturday- run 4 miles at Salem Lake and Prenatal Yoga
Tuesday- run at Hanes Park
Wednesday- Prenatal Yoga
Well, we went to the doctor yesterday for our Anatomy Scan ultrasound.  Seth actually got stuck in traffic and the ultrasound techs are always so fast at Lyndhurst that we had to get started without him.  She did all of the upper body measurements first so that Seth and I could find out the gender together.  I was so nervous and it felt like it took forever for him to get there when in reality it was only 5-10 minutes.
